I am a true Montana native. I was born and raised in Whitefish, and I am a fourth generation Montanan. As a youngster, I participated in nearly every sport and outdoor activity that northwest Montana has to offer. I went on to have a successful high school athletic career which led me to the University of Montana Western, and later the University of Great Falls, where I played football and basketball, while I worked towards a Physical Education/History Degree.

I have lived in a number of places and traveled extensively throughout my life. I continue to call the Flathead Valley "Home" because of the excellent people, wonderful recreational opportunities, and the overall quality of life that the Flathead area offers. In my free time, I am an avid skier and golfer. I also find time to commit to my other passion--coaching basketball. I have coached boy's basketball at every level. I have spent several years as an assistant coach with Whitefish High School, along with head coaching the Glacier Ice and Montana All-Stars AAU traveling teams. Whatever time I have left is spent boating, hunting, and fishing out in the Montana wilderness.

I take pride in the fact that I am a true local. I have vast knowledge of the Flathead Valley area and more importantly, an appreciation of the area's history. I think Montana is a special place because it is different, the mountains, the lakes, the towns, the people, and the pace of life. Change and growth are inevitable, but if we do it right we can hold on to the aspects of Montana which separates it from anywhere else in the world. I am proud to be in a profession which I can help mold that growth.
